Calling forth the ancient spells of nature
I stand upon the rock of life’s beginnings
Casting forth my soul into the heart of the world
I become one with the sages of the world
The birds and the beasts become my family
And I stand at its head
Before me spreads the grimoire of the universe
The spells emblazoned upon its pages
In the motions of the stars
And as one all creatures take up the chant
Invoking these ten thousand spells
Calling up new life
I stand upon the rock of life’s beginnings
Casting forth my soul into the heart of the world
I become one with the sages of the world
The birds and the beasts become my family
And I stand at its head
Before me spreads the grimoire of the universe
The spells emblazoned upon its pages
In the motions of the stars
And as one all creatures take up the chant
Invoking these ten thousand spells
Calling up new life
The elephants march across the land
Their footsteps keeping time
Their trumpeting provides the backbone
For this ancient
Eldritch rhyme
Far across the waters
In forests thick and strong
A lonely wolf atop a cliff
Cries forth in ancient song
And all his kin soon join him
Howling neath the moon
And soon in places deep within
Magic starts to bloom
The spiders
In the webs they weave
Are spelling out the words
Of a language strong and old
The thousand years not heard
Then the children of the air
Rise up without a word
And in their songs a spell invoke
Crafting new life with every chord
And for a thousand years I stood
And for a thousand more
My soul was safe within the heart
My body lost forevermore
And in my dreams I saw such things
Creatures from beyond the suns
Had come to see what I had made
To judge what I had done
And so they came
And so they saw what I had made
And so they judged what I had done
They judged it good
And then they went
Back to their land beyond the sun
And so I was left all alone
No more the wiser for what I had done
My spell of life was now complete
The was no more left that must be done
And then I saw
Inside my spell
A hole
Where nothing sung
And then I saw what must be done
The spell of life
It was alive
And was meant to roam
It was not meant to be confined
At the will of a single mind
And so into my spell
A new creature I spun
One that had the will to live
The mind to know
And with their voice
A song that must be sung
I turned them lose
Upon the earth
Where I once walked alone
And they began to spread and build
A nation had begun
Then the spell of life
That for eons I had sung alone
Could finally become complete
Its true power finally known
And so I looked out upon my spell
And I judged it complete
And I left the human race
To stand upon its own two feet
I like the first verse best. Good job all over though.
